Partners in Prevention
Safe Families seeks to unite the church and community in supporting families in crisis. As Founder, Dr. David Anderson says, we are all on “the journey to make the safety of children and the support of parents a priority for us all.” When this goal is achieved, communities will thrive.
Local churches play a significant role in equipping and supporting their members to serve families in need. Churches of all sizes and contexts can be active partners with Safe Families for Children. Our hope is that all people, regardless of their background, would awaken to the urgent need of struggling families in our community.
School systems, hospitals, and other public institutions play a crucial role in identifying families who are experiencing difficulties. Individuals in these spaces are often the first to notice signs of crisis in families and refer to Safe Families for Children for support.
Local resource organizations, such as food banks, community centers, and social service agencies, are also essential partners in this effort. By working together and leveraging these vital community resources, we can build a greater support network for families in need.
